CHALLENGE

With the exception of a select few premium stores, furniture retailers in India were doing little to create an enjoyable shopping experience for the customer. Cluttered and chaotic, furniture stores focused almost entirely on displaying as much stock as possible. D’Décor wanted to move on and distinguish itself from this crowd to become a recognised expert in home furnishings.



INSIGHT

The appearance of choice is very important to the customer. But choice was communicated at the expense of a clean aesthetic and a clear brand point of view. FITCH needed to find a way to display choice, without the chaos.
 




SOLUTION

Expertise and captivating looks delivered by the D’Décor product ranges, which are no longer displayed in isolation; but rather, visual merchandising throughout the store brings together furniture, fabrics and props to create a spectrum of different looks designed to inspire. 
Several features were introduced to streamline the clutter: the consultation area helps customers create combinations with easy accessibility; fabrics which run down from the ceiling create a theatrical experience evoking drama and desire and the showcase wall builds a story, and creates a mood around a range of products.
Additionally, a Trends Wall with a frequently changing assortment of colour swatches, fabric options and decorative pieces further establishes D’Décor as an expert in home furnishings.
